Helicopter Spins Out of Control into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Beach
A helicopter soaring above a well-attended coastal coastline suddenly began spiraling out of control, ultimately descending rapidly and smashing into a line of palm fronds as onlookers looked on.
Footage shared on social media depict the aircraft commencing to spiral above the beach then falling towards the perimeter of the shore, where it becomes wedged between palm trees and a set of stairs close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders reported five persons were transported to a medical facility including two who were in the chopper and were ârescued from the debrisâ following the crash on Saturday.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Details on their condition were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
